USDA Grant Brings Succession Help to Rusk Businesses
COMMUNITYLADYSMITH — Rusk County businesses planning for an ownership change will have new help available under a federal grant announced October 13 by USDA Rural Development.
The Wisconsin Center for Employee Ownership will use a $95,000 grant to provide rural businesses with education and assistance in business succession planning across 10 northern Wisconsin counties, including Rusk, along with Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Sawyer, Taylor and Washburn.
The award is part of $1,024,615 in Rural Business Development Grants going to 11 projects across Wisconsin, a program USDA says supports economic development and job creation in rural areas. Businesses and organizations seeking more information about the program can contact USDA Rural Development's Wisconsin Business and Cooperative program staff at [email protected].
