Free Winter Weatherization Kits Coming to Ladysmith, Bruce
WEATHERLADYSMITH — Rusk County households can pick up a free winter weatherization kit in Ladysmith or Bruce during the first half of November, according to Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity.
The organization will distribute up to 1,000 kits at 18 locations across northwestern Wisconsin from November 1 through November 15, during regular business hours and while supplies last. In Rusk County, the distribution sites are the Rusk County Community Library in Ladysmith and the Bruce School District. Kits are limited to one per household, are handed out first come, first served, and require no advance registration or income verification.
The kits contain materials meant to help residents address common sources of drafts and heat loss and prepare their homes for colder months. The program is sponsored in part by Focus on Energy. More information is available from Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity at 715-939-1390.
